Shipment protection

Insure the parcel for what it is really worth.

Every shipment already carries basic liability. If the contents are worth more, add declared-value cover while you calculate the delivery — the fee is a fixed percentage and appears as its own line before you pay.

Two levels of protection

One is automatic. The other is your choice.

No account, no policy document and no separate payment — protection is part of the same shipment request.

Basic carrier liability

Included in every shipment
€0

Standard international carrier liability of up to €100 per shipment, applied automatically. Enough for documents, samples and low-value parcels.

  • Nothing to select and nothing to pay
  • Compensation limited to €100 per shipment
  • Proof of value is still required for a claim
Price

The fee is a percentage of the declared value.

No tiers, no minimum charge and no business markup on top. The exact amount is visible in the calculator before you pay.

Also used for customs

The declared value goes on the customs paperwork for non-EU routes, so it must match the real value of the contents.

Above €10,000

Higher values are not accepted online. Send the details and a manager confirms cover and price individually.

Cover

What is protected, and what is not.

Compensation equals the proven loss, never more than the declared value. There is no excess to pay.

Covered

  • Total loss of the shipment
  • Damage to the contents in transit
  • Partial loss of the contents
  • Theft of the contents
  • On total loss we also refund the delivery price you paid

Not covered

  • Late delivery — transit times are estimates in working days
  • Cash, securities, bank cards, jewellery, precious metals, antiques and artwork
  • Data on a device — only the device itself is covered
  • Perishables, plants and live animals
  • Damage caused by weak or reused packaging
  • Fragile items without rigid packaging — loss only, not breakage
  • Restricted goods that may not be shipped at all
  • Customs duties, taxes, inspection and confiscation
  • Loss of profit and other indirect losses
  • An incorrect or incomplete recipient address
Keep the proof of value

If the value cannot be evidenced with an invoice, receipt or bank statement, compensation is calculated by weight and limited to €50 per kilogram.

Packing

You pack the parcel, so packing decides damage claims.

The parcel travels straight from your address to the recipient without passing through our office, so these four rules are what a damage claim is checked against.

A rigid box

Undamaged cardboard with no marks from a previous shipment, taped along every seam.

5 cm of cushioning

Between the contents and every wall. Nothing should move when you shake the box.

Fragile items separately

Each item wrapped on its own, electronics in the original packaging where possible.

One label only

Remove old labels and barcodes, otherwise the parcel can be scanned onto the wrong route.

In plain words

If the parcel is not packed to these rules, damage to the contents is not compensated. Loss of the parcel is compensated either way.

Claims

How to claim if something goes wrong.

03

FAQ

Insurance questions clients ask most.

Anything else about cover or a claim — write to us and we will answer before you ship.

No. Cover is chosen before payment, in the calculator. If the parcel has not been handed to the carrier yet, contact us and we will tell you whether the shipment can be re-issued.

The real value of the contents. It sets the maximum compensation and it is also declared to customs, so it should match your invoice or receipt.

Compensation is still based on the evidenced value, so overstating it only increases the fee you pay and can raise questions at customs.

No. Delivery times are working-day estimates and delay is never covered. The estimate starts when the parcel physically enters the carrier network, not when you pay.

Photograph the packaging from every side and the contents before unpacking any further, then claim within 7 days. The decision depends on whether the packing rules above were followed.

The sender — the person who created and paid for the shipment. The money returns to the card used for the delivery.
